Service Description
Turn your body and the world around you into an instrument in this percussive movement workshop inspired by the explosive rhythm, movement and creativity of STOMP! Led by a former STOMP cast member, participants will explore body percussion, rhythmic movement, call-and-response, footwork, musicality and found-object percussion, discovering how claps, stomps, snaps, movement and everyday objects can be layered together to create powerful grooves and dynamic rhythms. Throughout this 90-minute experience, you’ll learn how rhythm and movement work together, experiment with creating your own sounds and patterns. No previous dance or percussion experience is necessary. Dancers, actors, musicians, movers and complete beginners are all welcome. ABOUT BRADLEY HOLLAND Bradley Holland - is a lifelong actor/artist/musician. Born in Alabama, he was ranked in the top 5 percussionist for the entire state his senior year of highschool. His love of theatre sent him to study it at the University of Montevallo below Birmingham. A chance audition in NYC with 1,100 other performers found him cast in the off-Broadway show STOMP in 2002. For 13 years he was a cast member in NYC and rehearsal director of the North American tour of STOMP traveling to 48 states and Puerto Rico. After leaving the show he subbed with the European tour cast throughout Europe and China. Now based in Cornwall, NY, he owns “Big Love Media” capturing video and photos for clients around the Hudson Valley.
